I hold a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Algarve and I am currently a PhD student in Sociology within the inter-university program OpenSoc – Sociology: Knowledge for Open and Inclusive Societies. I am a doctoral fellow funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and a doctoral member of CINTURS – Research Centre for Tourism, Sustainability and Well-being. At present, I am also a Visiting Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, University of Algarve. I am also collaborating as a Local Researcher on the project CONVENTUS – New perspectives on the building of the former Convent of São José in Lagoa (Algarve, Portugal), coordinated by the Centre for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra in partnership with the Lagoa City Council. Throughout my academic career, I was awarded two scholarships for academic excellence. Since graduating, I have been involved in various national and international projects. I worked as a research fellow at the University of the Algarve on the projects "Summer with Science - Accessible and Inclusive Tourism" and "Blue Route - Preparing the new OCEAN 2030 economy: the blue route of discovery". I also had the privilege of being a research fellow at the University of Coimbra, contributing to projects such as SUGERE (Sustainability and Sensible Use of Geological Resources) and ASL (Atlantic Social Lab). I also collaborated as a researcher with CINTURS on the RESTUR project - Residents' Attitudes and Behaviours: Contributions to the Development of a Sustainable Tourism Strategy in the Algarve. I consider myself to be determined, persistent, committed and very communicative. As I look to the future, I am thrilled about the prospect of pursuing my academic career, gaining advanced qualifications, conducting innovative research and inspiring future generations of students. I remain committed to the academic world, fuelling myself forward to make significant contributions to the world of knowledge, especially in my area of expertise.
